About the Oneida County Firefighters Association
The Oneida County Firefighters Association is a non profit organization that was founded 1969 As a way to help promote better relationships between all the Fire Departments in Oneida County Wisconsin. They were also responsible for bringing training from the southern part of the state to help firefighters in this area become better trained to fight fire. In the 1970's the Association sent a representative to Nicolet Tech.Instruct the area firefighters. This position has become a full time position with numerous instructors, and area fire departments rely on the assistance from them to keep up on all the training techniques available.
In 1997 the Association with the help of area donors were able to purchase a Scotty Fire Safety House to help teach our children about the dangers of fires in the home. Since that time we have not only taught the children of Oneida County Wisconsin the dangers of playing with fire, but we have also been able to help the community as a whole, by lowering the fire related statistics involving children.
To this day The Oneida County Firefighters Association is dedicated to serving the people of Oneida County to better prepare them for disasters of all kinds.
